Tybolt Lannister was a Lord of Casterly Rock from House Lannister. He was the son and heir of Lord Damon Lannister during the reign of King Daeron II Targaryen. He had golden hair.[1] He had a younger brother, Gerold Lannister, who was his advisor.[2]
History
Lord Tybolt did not live long after succeeding his father. It was whispered that, Gerold, his own brother murdered him. He left behind no male issue, only a young daughter named Sarelle, who was only three when he died, also apparently murdered by Gerold, her uncle. [3]
The Hedge Knight
Ser Tybolt participated in the Ashford Tourney, beginning the tourney as a challenger. In his first tilt he chose to challenge Ser Androw Ashford and defeated him after six broken lances. In one of his later tilts, Ser Tybolt was unhorsed by Ser Jon Penrose and broke his sword in his fall, but fought back with shield alone to win the bout and remain a champion.[1]
The Mystery Knight
Tybolt had become Lord of Casterly Rock upon the death of his father from the Great Spring Sickness.[4]
