The Second Vulture King was a self-proclaimed king, who raided against the Iron Throne from the Red Mountains of Dorne during the reign of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen.[1]
History
The second Vulture King has believed to be minor son of a minor house in Dorne, while the first Vulture King commanded an army of thousands, the second, only had a force of a few hundred brigands and outlaws who shared his taste for robbery and rape. His force was later joined by Ser Borys Baratheon, a younger, bitter brother of Lord Rogar Baratheon of Storm's End. With Ser Borys knowledge of the Stormlands, the Vulture King raided with more success, always retreating back to the Red Mountains before a force could be mustered to attack his rabble. He knew the mountain terrain well and always disappeared when pursued or launched cunning ambushes. [1]
The Outlaw was captured at then end of the Third Dornish War, but Lord Rogar Baratheon ordered his chains removed and he was given a spear and shield. Lord Rogar commanded that if the Vulture King manages to slay him, he is to be set free. The Vulture proved unable for that task and was personally cut down by Rogar Baratheon with ease.[1]
Quotes
He calls himself a vulture but he does not fly. He hides. He should call himself the gopher.[1]
