Ser Wylis commands the men from White Harbor when Robb Stark called his banners.[2] He was placed under the command of Lord Roose Bolton when the northern army split. He was captured at the Battle of the Green Fork.[3]

A Clash of Kings

Tywin Lannister offered to trade Ser Wylis to his father for nothing if Lord Wyman withdrew his support from Robb Stark. Lord Wyman refused him.[4] Tyrion Lannister offered to trade Ser Wylis and Harrion Karstark for Willem Lannister in an exchange of prisoners.[5] While waiting for an exchange of prisoners, Ser Wylis took to haunting the kitchens of Harrenhal, where he was being kept.[6]

A Storm of Swords

He was released when the Northmen captured Harrenhal, but was captured once again in an engagement along the Trident.[7]

A Feast for Crows

The Iron Throne sends a raven to Wyman Manderly stating his son will be returned once he proves his loyalty. After Wyman supposedly executed Davos Seaworth, the Iron Throne agreed to return his heir.

Ser Wylis was released from captivity when Ser Jaime Lannister returned to Harrenhal. He was told that he would be escorted to Maidenpool and put on a boat to White Harbor. He collapsed in tears.[8]

A Dance with Dragons

Ser Wylis arrives back in White Harbour to see his wife and daughters. His father holds a welcoming feast in his son's honor.
