Xhobar Qhoqua, known as the Ebon Prince, was a member of the Band of Nine.[1] He was an exile prince from the Summer Isles who found fortune in the Disputed Lands leading a sellsword company.[2]
History
The Band of Nine were a group of merchants, sellswords and pirates who joined together to carve kingdoms out for themselves. After conquering the Disputed Lands, they took over Tyrosh.[2] Next, they seized the Stepstones, from where they stood poised to attack Westeros. The Band of Nine was defeated during the War of the Ninepenny Kings.[2]

Jaime Lannister recalls visiting Riverrun as a boy, ignoring Lysa Tully while begging her uncle Brynden for tales of Maelys the Monstrous and the Ebon Prince.[1]
