Ser Alester Tyrell was an Andal knight and adventurer who founded House Tyrell.[1]
History
Alester was among the many knights taken by House Gardener into their service and became the sworn shield of King Gwayne V Gardener, the last of the Three Sage Kings. His eldest son became a notable knight, only to die in a tourney. His second son, Gareth, was more bookish and never achieved knighthood, choosing to serve as a royal steward instead.[1]
