Ser Bywin Strong was a knight from House Strong and the Lord of Harrenhal, being the first Strong to hold Harrenhal.[1]
Character
Like his brother Ser Lucamore, Bywin was a renowned knight.[1]
History
Bywin was granted Harrenhal in 73 AC by King Jaehaerys I Targaryen, after the death of his sister, the widowed Queen Rhaena Targaryen, who had resided at the castle.[1]
At the end of the year, it was discovered that Bywin's brother, Ser Lucamore of the Kingsguard, had disgraced his vows by marrying three times and fathering sixteen children. When matters were brought up to the king, Jaehaerys put Lucamore's first wife and their children in Lord Bywin's charge.[2]
By 105 AC, the lordship of Harrenhal has passed on to Lyonel Strong.[3]
