Garnet is a dark red gemstone.

The black marble Valyrian sphinxes in the small council chambers have eyes of polished garnet.[1]

Garnets are among the decorations on the maester's chain of Grand Maester Pycelle.[1] Lord Ardrian Celtigar's mantle depicts crabs picked out in garnets.[2] Stannis Baratheon has a belt studded with garnets and yellow topaz.[3] Dagmer Cleftjaw has rings set with chunks of sapphire, garnet, and dragonglass.[4]

History
