Lord Hewett's Town is a large town on the island of Oakenshield in the Reach. It is the seat of House Hewett.
Twice as big as Lordsport on Pyke, Lord Hewett's Town contains a stone quay, a pier-lined harbor, and a sept. Oakenshield Castle sits above the town's harbor.
A Feast for Crows
Lord Hewett's Town is captured by the ironborn during their taking of the Shields. Though shops and houses are looted, only the sept is burned.
Euron Greyjoy, King of the Isles and the North, uses the town as his seat of power while he remains in the Shield Islands. Euron decrees that widows and orphans from the battle are to be sold as slaves instead of being taken back to the Iron Islands as thralls, which disturbs Victarion Greyjoy.
The streets were strewn with corpses, each with a small flock of carrion crows in attendance.—thoughts of Victarion Greyjoy
