Recent Events
A Storm of Swords
Megga is one of Queen Margaery Tyrell's ladies-in-waiting. She is a constant companion of Margaery. She meets and befriends Sansa Stark when she is invited to dinner with the Tyrells.[4]
Megga attends Sansa's marriage to Tyrion Lannister. During the wedding feast, Megga and her cousins ignore the bride to show their dissatisfaction with the match, as the Tyrells had hoped for Sansa to marry Willas Tyrell instead. Megga dances with Prince Tommen Baratheon.[5]
A Feast for Crows
Megga attends the wedding of Margaery Tyrell and King Tommen I Baratheon, where she dances with the king. Rumors reported by Taena of Myr to Queen Cersei Lannister say that Megga has a new suitor every week. There is talk of her marrying the brother of Lady Bulwer, but if she could choose for herself Megga's choice would be Ser Mark Mullendore.[6]
Due to Queen Cersei's plotting, Megga is arrested by the Faith of the Seven for trumped-up charges of fornication, along with Elinor and Margaery, and held captive in the Great Sept of Baelor. When examined by a septa, Megga's maidenhead is found to be broken.[7]
A Dance with Dragons
Almost all of the men named as Margaery's lovers have denied the accusation or recanted, so she and her cousins, including Megga, are handed over by the High Septon to the custody of Lord Randyll Tarly. Tarly swears a holy oath to return them for their trial.[8]
Quotes
King Joffrey has such beautiful lips, oh, poor Sansa, how your heart must have broken when you lost him. Oh, how you must have wept![2]
—Megga to Sansa Stark
Taena: Elinor is promised to the Ambrose boy, but loves to flirt, and Megga has a new suitor every fortnight. Once she kissed a potboy in the kitchen. I have heard talk of her marrying Lady Bulwer's brother, but if Megga were to choose for herself, she would sooner have Mark Mullendore, I am certain.
Cersei: The butterfly knight who lost his arm on the Blackwater? What good is half a man?"
Taena: Megga thinks him sweet. She has asked Lady Margaery to help her find a monkey for him.[6]
