The arms of House Tallhart include three sentinels.

Sentinel is a type of tall coniferous evergreen tree in Westeros. It has grey-green needles[1] and produces a sweet, sticky sap from its thick trunk.[2] Sentinels have a sharp piney smell.[3][4]

Sentinel trees are common in the north,[1] including the wolfswood[5] and the northern mountains,[6] and in the haunted forest in the lands beyond the Wall.[2][7] Sentinels are also found in the crownlands,[8] the riverlands,[4][9] the rainwood in the stormlands,[10][11] and the slopes of the Giant's Lance in the Vale of Arryn.[12]

Culture

Three green sentinel trees are used on the coat-of-arms of House Tallhart.[13] Sentinel Stand is an abandoned castle of the Night's Watch along the Wall; it is unknown if it is named after the tree.
