Talk: Jeffory Mallister

In ACOK, Catelyn VII, Catelyn says that Brandon's companions and their fathers were killed. Jaime never discusses it, but Jeffory seems like he might be Jason Mallister's nephew rather than his brother, if more than Rickard Stark went to court. Catelyn thinks that "father and sons both" died, not just Brandon, his companions and Rickard Stark. Francisco Araujo da Costa 22:04, 10 May 2014 (UTC)

Might be, but we don't have any clues for this. The Jason's brother thing is also just a theory, nothing confirmed, as is stated. Jason avenged a dead brother, and Jeffory is the only Mallister known to have died in the war.--Rhaenys_Targaryen 22:16, 10 May 2014 (UTC)

Just wanted to point out that it’s never mentioned in the novels that Jason Mallister was avenging a dead brother. The only thing mentioned is that he cut down 3 of Rhaegar’s bannermen on the Trident. Is it possible or even likely that Jeffory Mallister was a brother? Sure, but that connection is never made anywhere in the books nor, as I stated, is it mentioned that Jason avenged a brother at the Trident. The section even cites to the Sansa chapter in AGOT in which there is no mention of any brother of Jason Mallister.
