Images of wizards are on some of the coins draped around the neck of Vargo Hoat.[3]

Wizards study in Asshai, where no knowledge is forbidden.[4]

Wizards were active in the Golden Empire of Yi Ti.[5]

Valyrian wizards are said to have shaped stone with fire and magic.[6] Rhoynish water wizards fought against the dragonlords during the Rhoynish Wars.[7]

Wizards, alchemists, and sorcerers were among the wise men and scholars gathered by Peremore Hightower.[8]

In tales of Ser Clarence Crabb, the heads of wizards were brought by the knight to the Whispers.[9]
