Synopsis

Tyrion is brought to Volantis, at his captors whims. He is then put in chains and told that in doing so he will only be taken for a slave and no one will listen to his pleas or help him. Tyrion tells his captor that he knows who he is and that is Ser Jorah Mormont. Jorah then takes a room in the Merchant’s House, chaining Tyrion to the wall for the night. The next day they hear that Aegon Targaryen and Jon Connington have hired the Golden Company and taken them west, which put an end to Tyrion’s hopes of being rescued by them in Volantis.

In the morning they head into the dining hall of the Merchant's House, there Tyrion sees another dwarf and notices that he has been recognized and tells Jorah that, but Jorah only says that he is not threatened by this. Tyrion later thinks that this other dwarf seems somehow familiar. They then talk to the widow of the waterfront, a former slave and now powerful widow of a Triarch of Volantis, who is sympathetic with Dany's actions. Jorah tells her that needs to book swift passage to Meereen and Daenaerys. She asks Jorah why he seeks Daenerys and he answers "To serve her. Defend her. Die for her, if need be." But the widow does not trust his motives.

Then seven hells broke out at once. Tyrion is then attacked by the dwarf but Jorah interfered by rescuing him. Tyrion realizes this dwarf is a girl, upon questioning they found out the dwarf was Penny, one of the tilting dwarves from Joffrey's wedding. Her brother was killed by sailors and beheaded, she however was set free once they realized she was a girl. It was not her brother the sailors sought out to kill however, as they thought he may have been Tyrion, and wished to receive the ransom.

The Widow tells Tyrion to take the Selaesori Qhoran a trading cog destined to Qarth by way of New Ghis, which Benerro has foretold that it should not reach its destination. She gives him a message to deliver to Daenerys from the slaves of Old Volantis, "Tell her we are waiting. Tell her to come soon."
