Aegon Blackfyre was the eldest son of Daemon Blackfyre. He was Aemon Blackfyre's twin brother, the elder of the two. He was Daemon's heir and squired for his father.[1]
History
Aegon was the oldest of the children of Daemon Blackfyre. He had a twin-brother, Aemon, and five younger brothers, Daemon, Haegon, Aenys and two whose names are currently unknown. He also had at least two sisters.[4]
Aegon and his twinbrother Aemon liked to bully their brother Daemon and Daemon's friend Alyn Cockshaw.[4]
Aegon's younger brother Daemon had a prophetic dream about the deaths of Aegon and Aemon at the Redgrass Field, but Aegon and Aemon, not believing their brother, only laughed at Daemon.[4]Aegon was later indeed killed during the Battle of the Redgrass Field by Brynden Rivers' arrows. Shortly after he died, his father and after him his twin brother died as well.[1]
Quotes about Aegon
Aegon and Aemon. Wretched witless bullies, just like you. When we were little, they took pleasure in tormenting me and Daemon both.[4]
...I once dreamed of my brothers lying dead. They were twelve and I was only seven, so they laughed at me, and died.[4]
The Raven's Teeth had gained the top of Weeping Ridge, and Bloodraven saw his half brother’s royal standard three hundred yards away, and Daemon and his sons beneath it. He slew Aegon first, the elder of the twins, for he knew that Daemon would never leave the boy whilst warmth lingered in his body, though white shafts fell like rain.[1]
