A Clash of Kings
Sent by Mance Rayder as a scout toward the Wall, he encountered Qhorin Halfhand and his rangers who were on their way to the Fist of the First Men to join Lord Commander Jeor Mormont and his expedition. He was killed during the skirmish that allowed the Night's Watch to learn that the wildlings are looking for a power hidden in the Frostfangs.[1][2]
