A Clash of Kings

Obeying the orders of Queen Cersei Lannister, Allar kills the infant Barra, a bastard daughter of the late King Robert I Baratheon, as well as her mother when she tries to stop him.[1]

Lord Janos Slynt places Allar first on the list of six potential successors as Commander of the City Watch that he submits to Tyrion Lannister, the acting Hand of the King, not knowing that Tyrion has already chosen Ser Jacelyn Bywater. Tyrion condemns the six and Janos to be sent to the Night's Watch. Tyrion orders for Allar to be thrown overboard from Summer's Dream during the journey to Eastwatch-by-the-Sea.[1]
