Chataya is a tall, black woman with sandalwood eyes from the distant Summer Islands.[1] Her voice is flowing amber, liquid with the accents of the Summer Isles. She is the owner of an upscale whorehouse in King's Landing, frequented by the nobly born. She has a daughter named Alayaya who works in her establishment.

Quotes by Chataya

"The gods made our bodies as well as our souls, is it not so? They gave us voices, so we might worship them with song. They gave us hands, so we might build them temples. And they gave us desire, so we might mate and worship them in that way." [3]

- Chataya, to Tyrion

Quotes about Chataya

A handsome woman, Tyrion reflected as he watched her go. He had seldom seen such elegance and dignity in a whore. Though to be sure she saw herself more as a kind of priestess.[4]
