Daeron Velaryon was a member of House Velaryon. He was married to Lady Hazel of House Harte. They had one child together, Daenaera Velaryon, who would become the queen of King Aegon III Targaryen[3] and the mother of his five children.[4]
History
In 132 AC, following the death of Corlys Velaryon, Daeron and his brother Daemion contested the claim of Alyn Velaryon as Lord of the Tides and put forth their own claims before the council of regents in King's Landing. When the Hand of the King, Ser Tyland Lannister, and the regents ruled against them, they chose to accept the decision and be reconciled with Lord Alyn, who rewarded them with lands on Driftmark on the condition that they contribute ships to his fleet.[5]
During the Daughters' War, Daeron died when his ship True Heart went down in Lord Alyn's attack against the Braavosi.[3][1]
