According to a guard at the siege of Moat Cailin, Dagon found only two ironborn left alive in the Children's Tower. Because they were eating corpses, he killed them both.[1]
When Ramsay Bolton sends Theon Greyjoy to give peace terms to the ironborn, a drunken Dagon is the only one of the garrison who does not wish to surrender. Because of his resistance, he is slain by Adrack Humble via a thrown axe. Despite Ramsay's promise of safe passage, however, the remaining ironborn who surrender, including Adrack, are flayed.[1]
