Lord Dunstan put forth his name for consideration at the kingsmoot. His champions were his two sons and Andrik the Unsmiling. His speech about the history of House Drumm, from Dale the Dread to Gormond the Oldfather bored the men and when his chests of gifts opened, the men found his bronze gifts were sneered at and passed on.[2] After the Battle of the Shield Islands he was spotted by Victarion Greyjoy and Nute the Barber talking with Rodrik Harlaw and Gorold Goodbrother in the castle yard at Lord Hewett's Town. They discussed their fears that the gains from the battle had been little compared to the emnity of the Reach they had earned.[3]
