Ellyn Baratheon was the daughter of Lord Borros Baratheon of Storm's End who lived during the Dance of the Dragons[2] and the reign of King Aegon III Targaryen.[3] She and her sisters were known as the Four Storms.[4]

History

Ellyn was the daughter of Lord Borros Baratheon of Storm's End and his wife, Lady Elenda. She had three sisters: Cassandra, Floris, and Maris.[2] A brother, Lord Olyver, would be born after her father's death.[5] According to Lord Borros, his daughters sometimes fought with each other, but he saw to it that they always made peace afterward.[2]

At the start of the Dance of the Dragons, Prince Aemond Targaryen arrived at Storm's End. Lord Borros offered the hand of any of his daughters. Prince Aemond agreed to a betrothal, though the identity of the daughter is not known, save it was not Maris. The lord and prince were haggling over dates and dowries the morning Prince Lucerys arrived, who claimed he could not marry Ellyn or any of her sisters due to his betrothal to Rhaena Targaryen, and was sent away by Lord Borros.[2]

Lady Elenda sent Cassandra, Ellyn, and Floris to represent House Baratheon at the coronation of Aegon III Targaryen and his wedding to Princess Jaehaera. She remained in court as a companion of Queen Jaehaera Targaryen while her mother departed the capital[4]

After Queen Jaehaera died, Lady Elenda put forward Ellyn and Cassandra as potential brides for Aegon III. She attended the ball known as the Maiden's Day Cattle Show. Ellyn asked the king if he liked her gown, and her sister later put it about that her question was if he liked her breasts.[3]

Notes:
  1. Parentage unproven, but widely accepted as fact by some maesters, as well as members of House Targaryen and House Baratheon itself.
  2. Uncertain, may be Davos Baratheon.
  3. The canon status of the character is unclear. See: Westeros.org: Family trees and successions – Comment by Ran (December 20, 2018).
