Recent Events

A Clash of Kings

Lord Elwood was Ser Cortnay Penrose's second-in-command at Storm's End during Stannis I's siege. Members of House Fossoway under Stannis' command believed that should Ser Cortnay die, Lord Elwood would surrender the castle without a fight.[2] After Ser Cortnay's death, Lord Elwood promptly surrendered Storm's End and was named the new castellan in return.[3]

A Storm of Swords

Stannis names Ser Gilbert Farring as the new castellan of Storm's End and places Lord Elwood as his second in command.[4]
