A Dance with Dragons

The Goodheart along with the Elephant was driven North by a storm. They dropped anchor off Hardhome to make repairs and saw the thousands wildlings that had been led there by Mother Mole after the Battle of Castle Black.

The desperate wildlings wanted to be taken away. The two ships did not have room for them all, so they agreed to take the women and children. The wildlings had nothing to eat, so the men sent out their wives and daughters, hundreds of them, but as soon as they were out to sea the pirates put them below and roped them up, meaning to sell them all as slaves in Lys.

The pirates of the Goodheart plans were foiled when another storm parted the two ships and badly damaged the Goodheart. Her captain had no choice but to put in at Braavos where the Sealord seized the ship as slaving is forbidden in Braavos. [1]

Whilst in Pynto’s tavern Arya observes Lyseni sailors off the Goodheart on the table nearest to the fire speaking quietly over cups of black tar rum.
