Lord Guncer supports Stannis Baratheon's claim to the Iron Throne as his vassal. After Melisandre had the septuary on Dragonstone burned, Lord Guncer approached Stannis and told him he could no longer support his claim. Stannis had him promptly thrown in the cells beneath Dragonstone.
A Storm of Swords
Lord Guncer was burned alive on the orders of the Queen.
