House Byrch is a noble house from the crownlands. According to semi-canon sources they blazon their arms with quarterly, gyronny white and black, a silver axe on green.[1]

History

Lord Byrch came to King's Landing in 48 AC at the command of King Maegor I Targaryen.[2]

Ser Balon Byrch was a captain of the City Watch of King's Landing who became its commander after the death of Ser Luthor Largent.[3]

Ser Balman Byrch is married to Falyse Stokeworth.[4] He attends the funeral of Lord Tywin Lannister with his wife.[4] Bronn kills Balman in a duel.[5]

Brienne of Tarth and her companions see the corpses of the perpetrators of the raid on Saltpans hanged from trees. Among the dead are men with axes badges sewn on their breasts, presumably Byrch or Cerwyn men-at-arms who became broken men during the War of the Five Kings.[6]
