House Dustin of Barrowton is a noble house from the North. Their castle is Barrow Hall in Barrowton.

Neither their arms or their words appear in the text. According to semi-canon sources they blazon their shield as two rusted longaxes with black shafts crossed, a black crown between their points, on yellow.[1]

House Stout of Goldgrass, a house of petty lords of Barrowton, are sworn to the Dustins.[2]

History

House Dustin supported Rhaenys Targaryen in the Great Council of 101 at Harrenhal. Lord Roderick Dustin led two thousand northern soldiers, known as the Winter Wolves, during the Dance of the Dragons.[3]

Lord Willam Dustin was one of the six companions that fought alongside Eddard Stark at the Tower of Joy.

Maester Aemon sends a raven to Barrowton in a plea for help from the Dustins to defend Castle Black from wildlings.

A Dance with Dragons

The Ryswells and the Dustins surprise the ironborn on the Fever River, putting their longships to torch.[4] Ramsay Bolton and Hother Umber ride south to join the Dustin and Ryswell forces, preparing an attack on Moat Cailin.[4] Lady Barbrey Dustin and her vassal, Lord Harwood Stout, host the Boltons at Barrowton.[5] Later at Winterfell, Barbrey tells Ser Aenys Frey that House Dustin lost men during the Red Wedding.[6]
