House Oakheart of Old Oak is an old and powerful family from the Reach.
Their arms are three green oak leaves on gold.[1][2] According to semi-canon sources their motto is "Our Roots Go Deep".[3]

- Lady Arwyn Oakheart, Lady of Old Oak. A tiny and delicate woman.
- Ser Arys Oakheart, her son. A member of the Kingsguard.

- Ser Eustace Osgrey complained that House Oakheart tried to keep one foot in each camp during the Blackfyre Rebellion.
A Song of Ice and Fire
- Ser Arys was one of the members of Robert's Kingsguard.
- Lady Arwyn raised her banners for King Renly and was part of his war councils.
- The Oakheart leaf was seen north of the Mander after Renly's death and the surrender of Storm's End.
- Arys objected to Joffrey I when he ordered him to hit Sansa. Although he hit her in the end, he didn't do it hard.
- Arys was sent to Dorne with Princess Myrcella as her sworn shield.
- Arys was persuaded by Arianne Martell to conspire with her to crown Myrcella and was killed by Areo Hotah when discovered, preferring death to disgrace.
- Arys reflects on notable Oakhearts of the past, including Lord Edgerran the Open-Handed, the Three Leaves, and Ser Olyvar the Green Oak (possibly a predecessor in the Kingsguard) who fought alongside the Young Dragon.
