House Spicer of Castamere is a noble house from Castamere in the Westerlands. They blazon their arms with three black pepperpots on a saffron bend, across a field of green and silver stripes.[1][2]

History

The house is relatively new. The grandfather of the current Spicers was a spice trader and the grandmother a maegi from the east.[3]

Recent Events

A Storm of Swords

Ser Rolph Spicer, the castellan of the Crag, accompanies his sister, Lady Sybell Spicer, and her children to Riverrun when Jeyne Westerling marries Robb Stark. Catelyn Stark is distrustful of Rolph because Grey Wind behaves aggressively towards him.

Rolph is raised to lordship and given the lands and title of Lord of Castamere for the part he played in the Red Wedding and the fall of House Stark.[4]
