  • When the kingsmoot was summoned, Rodrik Harlaw called his bannermen in Asha's name. Among others, the Volmarks gathered in Harlaw.
  • During the Kingsmoot, however, all the lords and captains were free to choose their candidate, and Maron Volmark supported Victarion Greyjoy.
  • When the Shield Islands were conquered by the ironmen, King Euron named Maron Volmark Lord of Greenshield. Victarion interpreted it as a way to reinforce Euron's prestige gaining the support of the young Lord, who descends from Black Harren's line through his mother.
