The House of Hazkar is one of the ancient slaving families of Meereen.

Recent Events

A Dance with Dragons

When several Meereenese ships join the blockade of Meereen, Skahaz mo Kandaq presents Daenerys Targaryen a list with the names of the Meereenese captains and which families they belong too. The House of Hazkar was among the names.[1]

The Pyramid of Hazkar was attacked by Rhaegal and Viserion after their escape and has become a smoking ruin that eventually collapsed in on itself, with many of the ancient line of Hazkar lying dead, buried under its now blackened stones. Rhaegal attempted to make his lair atop the pyramid of Hazkar, he killed the slavers who were foolish enough to object.[2]
