History
He joined the Night's Watch after being given the choice of the Wall or death by Lord Tywin Lannister after the sack of King's Landing during Robert's Rebellion.[1]

Ser Jaremy was named acting First Ranger in the absence of Benjen Stark, who had gone missing on a ranging. He is present during the swearing in ceremony for the new members of the Night's Watch.[2] The wight, Jafer Flowers, managed to kill Ser Jaremy and four other men before it was destroyed.[3]
A Clash of Kings
Thoren Smallwood claimed Ser Jaremy's clothing and armor, right down to the house emblem used as a clasp on Ser Jaremy's cloak.[4]
