Recent Events

A Clash of Kings

Jarman is the leader of the scouts on the great ranging beyond the Wall.[1] Qhorin Halfhand suggests himself, Jarman, and Thoren Smallwood as leaders of small scouting groups sent into the Frostfangs to seek out the wildling camp.[4]

A Storm of Swords

Jarman lead the scouting mission to climb the Giant's Stair in search of the wildlings. By the time they return, the disastrous fight at the Fist has already happened and Lord Commander Jeor Mormont's party evacuates for Craster's Keep. His team remains in the wilderness tracking Mance Rayder's host where they spot Jon Snow walking freely amongst the wildlings. Jarman's team is able to return to Castle Black after the main party and before Jon Snow. He reports to Maester Aemon and Donal Noye that Jon may be a turncloak.[5]

A Dance with Dragons

Jon thinks to himself that the Night's Watch has lost too many of its best men, including Jarman,[6] indicating the scout is now deceased.
