Lady Jeyne Marbrand was a member of House Marbrand. She was the wife of Lord Tytos Lannister and mother to his five children.[1][2]
History
Early life
The daughter of Alyn Marbrand, Jeyne was married to Tytos Lannister in 235 AC, in a double ceremony, as Tytos' older brother, Ser Tion, married Lady Ellyn Reyne at the same time.[1]
Lady of Casterly Rock
Tion died the following year, however, and leaving Ellyn a widow. As her influence at Casterly Rock, which had previously been great as her husband was the heir to the seat, became less, Ellyn tried to find a way to increase her power. As she had once succeeded in convincing Tion to set aside his betrothed to marry her, she now tried to seduce and sleep with Tytos. Tytos did not go through with the act, but went to Jeyne and confessed it all.[1]
Jeyne forgave her husband, but not Ellyn, and went to Lord Gerold Lannister, who married off Ellyn, thereby removing her from Casterly Rock.[1]
Jeyne remained, and gave birth to five children in total. In 242 AC, she birthed Tytos his heir, a boy named Tywin. Two years later, another son followed, and the year after that, a daughter. Then another son.[1]
Jeyne's reactions to Tytos' rule are not known, nor the reaction to her daughter's early betrothal. Giving birth in 255 AC for the fifth time, Jeyne delivered a healthy son, but died within a moon's turn. While Tytos Lannister had always been known as the Laughing Lion, after Jeyne's death, no one could lay that claim by his feet anymore.[1]
