The King's Scales is a position in the royal court of the Seven Kingdoms. The position falls under the jurisdiction of the master of coin.[1]
According to a semi-canon source, the King's Scales is the keeper of the royal weights and measures, and enforces the measurement standards throughout Westeros.[2] Spice, wine, and wool factors are employed by the King's Scales, and play a more direct role in assessing tariffs and duties.[2]
