King of Mountain and Vale was the title held by the Arryn rulers of the Vale.
History
The First king of Mountain traced back to the Andal Invasion, six thousand years ago. The Andals landed at the Fingers, north of the vale. Led by An andal leader Ser Artys, the Winged Knight, they have destroying the last remnants of the children of the forest in the vale and defeating the Griffin King, leading the First Men inhibiting the Vale and the mountain surrounding them, causing them to flee from the land.
The Vale was renamed the Vale of Arryn in Ser Artys honor. He was given the Falcon Crown and became the King of Mountain and Vale, the hereditary title of the Arryn rulers used before the arrival of the Targaryens.[1]
