Lord Footly was the head of House Footly and Lord of Tumbleton during the Dance of the Dragons.[1] His given name has not been revealed.
History
Lord Footly hosted the blacks at Tumbleton during the civil war. When the town was betrayed in the First Battle of Tumbleton, Lord Footly's soldiers surrendered to the victorious greens, but they were instead bound and beheaded.[1]
Ser Jon Roxton became enamored of the lord's beautiful wife, Lady Sharis, and claimed her as a "prize of war." When her lord husband protested, Bold Jon cut him nigh in two with Orphan-Maker, saying, "She can make widows too," as he tore the gown from the weeping lady.[1]
Lord Footly was succeeded by his posthumous son, born six months after the Second Battle of Tumbleton. Though claimed by Lady Sharis as her late lord husband's trueborn heir, it was far more likely that he had been fathered by Bold Jon.[2]
