Lucerys Velaryon was the Lord of the Tides and head of House Velaryon during the reign of King Aerys II Targaryen, he also served Aerys as master of ships on his small council.[1] His relation to the current Velaryons is unknown. He may be the father of Lord Monford Velaryon and his bastard half-brother, Aurane Waters.
History
Lucerys was a strong supporter of Aerys II Targaryen and a member of the king's small council during the Year of the False Spring.[1] The fate of Lucerys during Robert's Rebellion is as yet unknown, although the royal fleet of House Targaryen, anchored at Dragonstone, was destroyed by a great storm when Daenerys Targaryen was born.[2]
