Dance of the Dragons
Lyman was a man of eighty when King Viserys passed away. His throat was slashed in the council chamber by Ser Criston Cole, the Kingmaker, for refusing to support Aegon II Targaryen's claim to the Iron Throne. He was succeeded as master of coin by Ser Tyland Lannister.[2]
