Lyman Beesbury was the master of coin and a member of the small council during the reign of Viserys I Targaryen and before that to his grandfather Jaehaerys I Targaryen.[2]

Lyman was a man of eighty when King Viserys passed away. His throat was slashed in the council chamber by Ser Criston Cole, the Kingmaker, for refusing to support Aegon II Targaryen's claim to the Iron Throne. He was succeeded as master of coin by Ser Tyland Lannister.[2]
