Marla Sunderland was a member of House Sunderland that briefly ruled the Three Sisters as Queen.[1]

History

During the War of Conquest, the Sistermen took advantage of the chaos and rebelled against the rule of House Arryn, installing Marla as their Queen. However, she was deposed by her own people when the northern army gathered by Torrhen Stark - Warden of the North - at the behest of Aegon the Conqueror, approached the Three Sisters, led by Ser Warrick Manderly, aboard hired Braavosi galleys. Marla's brother, Steffon Sunderland bent the knee while Queen Marla was exiled and imprisoned for five years and later had her tongue removed and ended her days as a silent sister.[2][1]
