Murmison was a septon who became a renowned member of the Faith and a Hand of the King under Aenys I Targaryen.

History

Septon Murmison's prayers reportedly worked miracles. He was made Hand of the King as a concession to the High Septon by King Aenys. Aenys gave in to demand thoping the appointment of the renowned Septon Murmison would pacify the FAith of the Seven, it didn't. Murmison and was a horrible choice and a poor Hand.

He was expelled from the faith for performing the incestuous marriage of two of Aenys children to each other. Pious Poor fellows took up arms and hacked Murmison to pieces, weeks after the marriage as he was being carried across the city.
