A Clash of Kings
With his brothers, Ser Osmund and Osfryd, he was in the employ of Tyrion Lannister while working for Cersei Lannister in her attempt to buy her own force of sellswords.[4]
A Storm of Swords
He was knighted along with his brother Osfryd after the Battle of the Blackwater despite the fact neither of them did any actual fighting.[5] He and his brother Osfryd took Tommen back from Rosby after the death of Ser Jacelyn Bywater. All three of the Kettleblack brothers gave evidence against Tyrion in his trial.
A Feast for Crows
Ser Osney and his brothers were ordered by Queen Cersei to dispose of the corpse of Shae. What they did with the corpse was of no concern.[6] Cersei sends Ser Osney on a mission to be caught seducing and bedding Queen Margaery Tyrell. The plan was for Tommen I to send him to the Wall as punishment where he would kill Lord Commander Jon Snow. During his torture, the Blue Bard was forced to list those he claimed to have been Queen Margaery's secret lovers, among them was Ser Osney's.[7] Ser Osney then confessed to the High Septon who had Margaery and some of her cousins arrested on charges. However, the High Septon was suspicious of Osney Confession (he had never heard a confession from a man so pleased to be guilty) had Osney tortured and under that duress, Osney told a different story which implicated Cersei in both the death of the previous High Septon, who Osney had killed on her orders and in revelations the Osney had sexual relations with Cersei. This news allowed the High Septon to arrest Cersei on similar charges to Margaery.[8]
A Dance with Dragons
Still remains a prisoner of the faith who plan to execute him for the murder of the previous High Septon.
