History

In 105 AC, Lord Petyr swore his fealty to Rhaenyra Targaryen as the heir of King Viserys I Targaryen. By 129 AC, he had become old and grizzled, and pledged his swords to the Blacks due to the oath he had made to Rhaenyra.[1]

At the Battle at the Red Fork, Lord Petyr and Lord Tristan Vance faced Lord Jason Lannister, who was killed by the squire Pate of Longleaf. Lord Petyr knighted him afterward, dubbing him Longleaf the Lionslayer.[2]

Lord Piper died in a battle at Acorn Hall against the invading westermen. According to Mushroom, his heart burst at the sight of his favorite grandson's head upon a spear. He was succeeded by Lord Stanton Piper.[3][4]

Quotes

I swore her my sword. I'm older now, but not so old that I've forgotten the words I said, and it happens I still have the sword.[1]

– Petyr Piper, on his oaths to Rhaenyra Targaryen.
