When Davos Seaworth was sent to ask after the allegiance of the Stormlords, Lord Selwyn would only agree to a midnight meeting in a grove with Davos where he informed him of his refusal to join Stannis Baratheon.[4]
A Storm of Swords
Upon learning that Brienne had been captured by Lord Roose Bolton and the Brave Companions, who had sent a raven demanding a ransom, he sent a return raven offering three hundred dragons for her safe conduct. Vargo Hoat rejected the offer.[5]
