Skane is an isle in the North that lies north of the island of Skagos.[1] The isle was raided long ago by the Skagosi, with its inhabitants supposedly killed and eaten by Skago's natives.[2]

Maester Harmune sends a report to Lord Commander of the Night's Watch Jon Snow, that two Lyseni ships under the command of Cotter Pyke have run aground on Skane.[3]
