Smike was a maester of the Citadel who served House Farman of Fair Isle during the reign of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen.[1]

History

Maester Smike served Lord Marq Farman of Fair Isle, as well as his eldest son, Ser Franklyn Farman, who succeeded his father as lord in 50 AC.

Smike wrote to the Citadel after Lord Franklyn brusquely commanded his late father's guest, Princess Rhaena Targaryen, to depart Fair Isle. In the letter, Smike states that Franklyn did not realize how close he came to death, for the maester could see the fire in the princess's eyes, who took his lordship's words and tone as a great slight against her.[1]
