During the Hour of the Wolf, a brothel on the Street of Silk burned down when a quarrel began over a whore between one of Lord Elmo Tully’s men and one of Lord Cregan Stark’s.[10]

The former Grand Maester Orwyle, who had escaped his imprisonment, hid and worked in a brothel of the Street of Silk named Mother's during the Regency of Aegon III under the alias of "Old Wyl".[6]

According to the rumors of the Maiden's Day curse, the "three Jeynes" (Jeyne Smallwood, Jeyne Mooton and Jeyne Merryweather) visited the brothels along the Street of Silk.[11] The following year, other rumors claimed Lady Larra Rogare also visited the brothels.[12]
