The Art of Ice and Fire, is a a collection of art inspired by George R. R. Martin's bestselling fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire, from a variety of different artists and illustrators. It was published by Fantasy Flight Games, in two volumes 2005 and 2011.


Each book contain nearly 200 works of art. Volume I, feature characters, and popular locations from the novels. While Volume II, focus on the Houses of the Seven Kingdoms following its history and providing background on the various groups that play a role in the game of thrones.


The books Feature art pieces from various board and card games such as A Game of Thrones: The Card Game, Battles of Westeros, and A Game of Thrones: The Board Game. Including all-new artwork And a foreword written by George R.R. Martin himself.
