We have official captions on both YouTube and HBO Max and we have a trademark registered around the same time as the second teaser trailer (in which his name is first spoken) to back this up. It is absolutely not the same as you saying his name is Rickon because it says so on IMDb. IMDb is user-edited. The sources I'm using are directly from HBO, even down to the level of legal documents, and I'm tired of this even being a discussion here. The evidence for "Rickard" overwhelms the evidence for "Rickon," of which there is none except "I heard Rickon!" --Potsk (talk) 14:53, 29 July 2022 (UTC)

Date of 48 for the birth of Sheepstealer
 +
Hi. I changed the date because the exact words are "hatched when the Old King was still young". The fact Gyldayn specified "king" implies that the maester was talking about the early years of Jaehaerys' reign (thus when he was still a young king), not the period before his reign. Otherwise, Gyldayn could have written that the dragon was born something like "in the years of the reign of Aegon (or Aenys, or Maegor)", or alternatively that the Old King was not yet king at the time of Sheepstealer's birth. --Somnium Draconis (talk) 13:48, 26 September 2023 (UTC)

:Okay, I don't intend to object. However, I think it would be appropriate to add a note on the possibility that Gyldayn was talking about the early reign of the Old King, at least. --Somnium Draconis (talk) 14:38, 26 September 2023 (UTC)

Coldmoat
The banners at Coldmoat displaying the arms of both Osgrey and Webber is more than enough to indicate that Rohanne and Eustace are co-rulers. There is no precedent for a lord's consort's banners flying over the walls of their spouse's castle. There aren't Tully banners at Winterfell, for instance. The only additional banner that would be flown besides that of the ruling lord's is the liege lord's, and perhaps the king's (if Oldtown isn't unique in flying three banners). House Vance of Atranta and of Wayfarer's Rest

Hi! Could you perhaps put in a link to Ran's post on the forum in regards of the sigil of these houses having been created before it was decided who they supported during the Dance? :) Thanks! --Rhaenys Targaryen (talk) 14:51, 29 December 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for your message! Such a reference is made sing the URL of the specific post (and not the page of the post), and by identifying where the post is coming from. So in this case, it would be this, for example:

House Osgrey

In The Sworn Sword, Ser Eustace Osgrey is noted to be the last Osgrey alive. He marries Rohanne Webber at the end of the book but Rohanne remarries to Gerold Lannister at some point in between 211 AC and 219 AC. The only way for the Osgreys to not be extinct is if Rohanne and Eustace had a child together. Thomaerys Velaryon (talk) 15:33, 12 August 2020 (UTC)

Since GRRM did not mark House Osgrey as extinct in the notes he delivered to Elio and Linda for their MUSH (in opposite to the Cargylls and Parrens for example), a son of Eustace and Rohanne is a possible option. Anyway, houses that have not been marked extinct in the Citadel or been mentioned to have died out in the books should not be presented extinct on the wiki. Mysaria

Why did you remove the image of Sonoya Mizuno's portrayal from Mysaria's page? It's the only image of a Mysaria depiction we have, and it's not unusual for this wiki to have live action portrayals in the infobox when nothing else is available. --Potsk (talk) 09:07, 6 October 2021 (UTC)

Alicent

I removed "Queen" because it is made superfluous by "Dowager Queen". --Potsk (talk) 15:55, 13 October 2021 (UTC)

But you can't be a dowager queen without first being a queen consort. It's like listing "Prince" on every single king. It doesn't provide any new information and only serves to make the infobox longer. --Potsk (talk) 19:42, 13 October 2021 (UTC)

Question about the verdict on TV images

What if there is no physical description of the character, or if the TV depiction is close enough? I personally see nothing wrong with using an image of Graham McTavish as Harrold Westerling in the infobox, or David Horovitch as Grand Maester Mellos, but what was said of it in the forum? --Potsk (talk) 07:03, 7 March 2022 (UTC)

Rickard Stark

We have official captions on both YouTube and HBO Max and we have a trademark registered around the same time as the second teaser trailer (in which his name is first spoken) to back this up. It is absolutely not the same as you saying his name is Rickon because it says so on IMDb. IMDb is user-edited. The evidence for "Rickard" overwhelms the evidence for "Rickon," of which there is none except "I heard Rickon!" --Potsk (talk) 14:53, 29 July 2022 (UTC)

Guys we are less than a month away from the premiere. Can we put this old debate to rest for now please ? If need be, we will edit the page according to what the episode credits says. --Thomaerys Velaryon (talk) 15:40, 29 July 2022 (UTC)

Byron Swann

Ser Byron's squire saw his master die, and wrote his daughter of the manner of it.

I am not sure if the daughter is Byron's or his squire's. Are you sure it is Byron's ? --Thomaerys Velaryon (talk) 14:08, 17 March 2023 (UTC)

This seems to be in reference to Byron's daughter. Why would the squire write to his own daughter about how his master died? Potsk (talk) 14:37, 17 March 2023 (UTC)

Coldmoat

We do have precedent of co-rulership. See Aegon and Elaena Targaryen. Potsk (talk) 15:12, 10 February 2024 (UTC)
