Vaes Khewo is a ruined city on the Sarne[1] in the western Dothraki sea, in the southern Kingdom of Sarnor. It is connected by a Valyrian road to Vaes Khadokh.[2] It was originally called Sarnath of the Tall Towers, but it is now known by its Dothraki name, Vaes Khewo, meaning "City of Worms".[1]
History
The greatest of the Tall Men cities, Sarnath was the seat of the High King of Sarnor, who dwelled in the fabled Palace With a Thousand Rooms.[3]
The Dothraki invaded the Kingdom of Sarnor during the Century of Blood which followed the Doom of Valyria. Mazor Alexi gathered an army of Tall Men to Sarnath after the fall of Mardosh, but his host was destroyed by four khalasars at the Field of Crows. Within a fortnight, Khal Loso conquered Sarnath and put the city to the torch.[3]
Recent Events
