The Weeper, also known as the Weeping Man, is an infamous wildling raider.[1] He is thick, with blond hair with watery eyes. He carries a large curved scythe.[2]

Recent Events

A Clash of Kings

Qhorin Halfhand brought news to the Night's Watch encampment on the Fist of the First Men that the Weeper had allied himself with Mance Rayder.[1]

A Storm of Swords

During the wildling assault on the Wall, the Weeper was spotted near Icemark.[3] Along with about 300 other wildlings he was defeated by Night's Watch forces led by Bowen Marsh, in the Battle of the Bridge of Skulls, however the Watch's casualties were also high.[4]

A Dance with Dragons

After the wildlings are defeated by the Wall, he gathered warriors at the Milkwater, planning to cross the Bridge of Skulls, and take the Shadow Tower.[5] The Weeper and his men captured three rangers of the Watch, Garth Greyfeather, Black Jack Bulwer and Hairy Hal. He had them killed, their heads removed, and their eyes plucked out then left their heads near the Wall for the men of the Night's Watch to find.
